What to include in a pest control estimate
A good estimate makes the proposed work understandable before the customer agrees. Name the target pest or inspection purpose, affected areas, included visits, preparation requirements, follow-up limits, price, estimated tax, and how long the price remains valid. Avoid promising a result that the inspection does not support.
Scope
Describe the inspection, treatment, exclusion, monitoring, or follow-up work included.
Price
Separate quantities and unit prices so the customer can understand the total.
Boundaries
State exclusions, preparation duties, access needs, and what would require a revised estimate.
Approval
Provide validity, payment, cancellation, warranty, and signature terms required for your business and location.
Pest control estimate questions
What should a pest control estimate include?
A useful estimate identifies the business and customer, service address, proposed inspection or treatment, quantity, price, estimated tax, total, validity period, preparation notes, exclusions, and approval terms.
Is a pest control estimate the same as an invoice?
No. An estimate describes proposed work and expected pricing before approval. An invoice requests payment for work or charges under an agreement. Local contract, tax, and pesticide rules may require additional language.
Does PestPin save my estimate?
No. The estimate is assembled in your browser. PestPin does not upload or save the information you enter in this tool. Leaving or refreshing the page clears it.
Can I save the estimate as a PDF?
Yes. Select Print or save as PDF, then choose Save as PDF in your browser's print window if that option is available.
