About PestPin

PestPin exists to fix a broken experience: finding a pest control company you can actually trust. For too long, homeowners have been handed off to lead-resale mills that sell the same request to a half-dozen companies, leaving you fielding calls without clear credential evidence for each listing. PestPin uses a one-provider-at-a-time request flow and makes its source-record limits explicit.

Today we list 19,544 pest control business records matched to active-status license data when processed across 29 states and 4,374 cities. Regulator publication timing varies, so this is directory-snapshot coverage rather than a real-time license count.

How source-record matching works

We don't take a company's word for it, and we don't buy a list. Public listings start from official state regulator sources, which report a record's status, scope, and timing under that state's rules:

  • Sourced from the state board. Every listing is matched to a real business on its state's official pesticide/pest-control registry, and we store the license number so you can verify it yourself.
  • Source timing is disclosed. We process official regulator records on a recurring schedule, but publication and refresh timing vary by state and source. Always confirm the current status on the linked regulator record before hiring. See our full record-matching process.
  • One company at a time. When a local pest control company is available, your request is offered to one company at a time and is never resold to a list of competitors. A match is confirmed only after a company accepts; availability and a response are not guaranteed.
  • Request-linked reviews. A private token connects each submission to a PestPin request accepted by that company, and we moderate every submission before it publishes. The token does not prove hiring or completed work. Payment never buys a rating or alters a published review.

What we are, and what we're not

PestPin is a directory and matching service. We are not a pest control company, we don't perform treatments, and we never take a cut of the work a company does for you.
