Accessibility at PestPin

PestPin is built to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on a screen reader, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time checkbox.

What we do

  • We aim to make every interactive control reachable and operable with a keyboard, with the focus order following the visible layout, and we fix gaps as we find them.
  • Our pest identifier moves focus to its results when the questions finish, so a screen reader announces the outcome instead of leaving you at the top of the page.
  • Tools that update in place, the cost estimator, the pricing calculator, and your request status page, announce their changes as they happen rather than updating silently.
  • Ratings and images carry text alternatives, and purely decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Headings follow a logical order, form fields have clear labels, and a blocked form moves focus to the field that needs your attention and announces the reason.
  • We aim for readable color contrast and keep motion minimal.

Reporting a problem

If any part of PestPin is hard to use with assistive technology, please tell us and we will fix it. The surest way is our contact form, a plain HTML form that needs no email client and works with a screen reader or keyboard alone. You can also email us at hello@pestpin.com with the page address and what went wrong. Either way a person reads it and follows up.

If a barrier is stopping you from doing something on the site right now, say so in the message. We will give you the information or complete the step for you while we fix the underlying problem, rather than making you wait for a release.

This statement reflects the current state of the site and is updated as we make improvements.
