Accessibility at PestPin
PestPin is built to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on a screen reader, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time checkbox.
What we do
- Every interactive control is reachable and operable with a keyboard, and the focus order follows the visible layout.
- Our pest identifier moves focus to its results when the questions finish, so a screen reader announces the outcome instead of leaving you at the top of the page.
- Tools that update in place, the cost estimator, the pricing calculator, and your request status page, announce their changes as they happen rather than updating silently.
- Ratings and images carry text alternatives, and purely decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
- Headings follow a logical order, form fields have clear labels, and a blocked form moves focus to the field that needs your attention and announces the reason.
- We aim for readable color contrast and keep motion minimal.
